Bond paper is made from chemically processed pulp that has been bleached and may contain recycled fabric fibers. It is white, has a slightly rough surface, and typically weighs between 60 – 100 grams per square meter. This type of paper is used for printing tasks that require moderate quality. It can be printed in a single color or multiple colors.
Bond paper is also used for single-layer receipt printing with dot matrix printers. Since it is a standard type of paper, dot matrix printers require an ink ribbon and a print head with pins that strike the ribbon to create printed characters. This type of receipt printing is commonly used in retail stores, supermarkets, mini-marts, bill payment service points, coffee shops, bakeries, bookstores, and similar businesses.
